Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record. Company covers hotel and also pays Per Diem for travelers. 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Plumber Journeyman to join our team! The successful candidate will be self-driven and embrace the opportunity to create solutions to new or chartered challenges as they arise and possess a passion for advancing their career and contributing to leadership opportunities as they arise during business growth.


Duties:

  • Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors, using ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob.
  • Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Cuts and threads pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine.
  • Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work required and sequence of installations.
  • Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe.
  • Able to travel to project sites throughout the US.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of plumbing commercial and/or industrial experience / Journeyman
  • 3 + years of plumbing commercial and/or industrial experience / Foreman
  • Plumbing State license Master or Journeyman card preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specification (structural, architectural, civil, plumbing and cut sheets)
  • Have basic hand tools and know how to use properly and safely. (list provided)


Able to work with a vast range of materials and know proper installation of products listed below but not limited to:

  • 5+ years of plumbing commercial and/or industrial experience / Journeyman
  • 3 + years of plumbing commercial and/or industrial experience / Foreman
  • Plumbing State license Master or Journeyman card preferred but not required.

  • CPVC sch 40 & 80

  • Uponor
  • Cast Iron
  • Copper sweat, brazing & propress
  • Carriers for WC, EWC, Lav, and urinals
  • Hangers and supports Roof drains
  • Water heaters
  • Set all types of fixtures for finish
  • Ice machines
  • Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in a new construction setting.
